The program is designed primarily for training specialists competent to represent interests of Russian business abroad and foreign business in Russia. To do this, the training program focuses on the study of International law, European Union law, the legal systems of foreign states. During study of program “International Law and Business” students acquire personal qualities, universal primary and secondary professional competencies and skills necessary for practical activities within day-to-day business. The “International Law and Business” Program is provided by staff members of the Department of international and European law with invitation of lecturers and practitioners from Russian and foreign institutions and universities.

 

Within the Program is applied an interdisciplinary approach that allows master students to gain full range of professional knowledge and skills needed to succeed in work on the legal profile in international economic and commercial relations. Duration of study – two years (four semesters) for full-time students, or two and a half years (five semesters) – for part-time students. After completion of the Program students obtain a diploma of “Master of Law”.

– International and domestic aspects of bankruptcy;

– International protection of human rights;

– International protection of intellectual property.

This Masters Program is implemented using the most modern forms and methods of the educational process, the highest international standards in the field of education and research. The educational process is built on a combination of “classical” methods of teaching (lectures, seminars) with modern teaching technologies, in particular, using distance learning (E-learning).

 

At the Department of International and European Law in 2014 was established the Center for European and International Law of VSU, which has the most modern facilities and equipment with access to the best English-language legal directories and databases. Scientific results of enrolled students for the Program “International Law and Business” may be published in two peer-reviewed journals: “International Law Readings” and “Actual Problems of a State and Law”. The Program “International Law and Business” provides maximum practice-oriented approach to the educational process.
