Abstract: the paper is devoted to analysis of the European Union’s influence, as a supranational integration entity, on non member‐states. EU law serves as the main tool for this process.


Abstract: The paper gives description of the process of convergence of norms of legal systems of the European Union and the Russian Federation — their approximation. The regulatory framework for this process is considered, and its development trends are also characterized. The author analyzes the essential elements of the approximation process, notes his unilateral nature in relation to the legal system of the Russian Federation, indicating that Russia has no opportunity to influence the EU rulemaking. The reasons that reduce effectiveness of the process of legal approximation of Russian law with law of the European Union are distinguished.


Abstract: The paper gives description of the institution of states’ membership in the European Union as in an international intergovernmental supranational organization sui generis. The criteria for accession of states to the EU are also considered. The author analyzes some aspects of legal formalization of a state’s exit from the European Union using the example of Great Britain.


Abstract: The paper considers current trends in the process of development of the institution of citizenship of the European Union. In particular, the author gives a characterization of EU citizenship, analyzes the relationships of this concept with citizenship of EU member states, analysis of its legal regulation through the prism of delegation of sovereign powers from the EU member states of to the European integration entity.


Abstract: the article focuses on some aspects of the process of legal approximation of the Russian legislation regulating the sphere of higher education to the relevant norms of the European Union law based on the Bologna acts. The author examines development of the Bologna process, defi ning its main features. The system of basic normative acts adopted within the legal system of the Russian Federation according to the Bologna Process is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the main mechanisms of the Bologna process in Russia.
